In many low-income communities, a child who does not have basic stationery often can’t complete their lessons, write notes, or take part in classroom activities, so miss out on learning opportunities. A few essential items — like pencils and exercise books — can help open the door to education, giving a child the tools they need to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

Every gift purchased through Salvos Gifts empowers communities to lift themselves out of poverty. The cost to implement each project varies. Therefore, when a project is fully funded, we direct excess funding to projects of a similar nature. This ensures the needs of the communities you support are met and that they have ownership of the project.
