“But the wisdom from above is first pure [morally and spiritually undefiled], then peace-loving [courteous, considerate], gentle, reasonable [and willing to listen], full of compassion and good fruits. It is unwavering, without [self-righteous] hypocrisy [and self-serving guile]. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness (spiritual maturity) is sown in peace by those who make peace [by actively encouraging goodwill between individuals].”James 3:17-18

The Red Shield Appeal is fast approaching and we need your help to enable us to help others.
How can you help?
Volunteer to collect at the 'Doorknock' at sometime over the weekend of Saturday 25th May and Sunday 26th May 2019 and inviting others to join you.
You can register for the "Hornsby - Berowra Dnoorknock Activity" at:
https://volunteer.salvos.org.au/Account/LoginRegister
However, it is not all just about 'Doorknocking.' There are a number of options for individuals, schools, businesses, workplaces, clubs and community groups to get involved.
These include:
i) Holding a fundraiser at your workplace, gathering or school.
ii) Permit a donation bucket to be placed at your business for a week or two.
iii) Drive volunteers to and from collection site (n.b Working with children check required if driving under 18s).
iv) Make a donation
Please contact us on 02 9477 1133 to discuss any of the above opportunites.
"We all have the opportunity to be beacons of hope for others and by partnering with the Salvos for just a few hours over the Red Shield Appeal weekend, you can give hope where it's needed most."
