How we are protecting you and your family

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in our community, we have adjusted how we operate programs and events on our site. Gympie Salvos has a COVID safe plan in place to reduce the risk for all our valued community members. This plan includes the adoption of relevant Queensland Government approved industry plans for retail, food services and places of worship.

If you enter our buildings, we ask that you please abide by good physical distancing practices, hand hygiene, and do not enter site if you are unwell. In addition to this if you are entering our place of worship you will be required to provide your contact details for our contact tracing register.

When you arrive on a Sunday morning you will be greeted by our volunteers who will collect your contact details. Once you enter our worship space you will notice our chairs are spaced out appropriately and we ask that only the same households sit together. In addition to these requirements there will be no sharing of common elements such as the offering plate. For members wishing to give financially to the church there will be opportunity to give at the exit or via electronic transfer. Our morning tea will be served in single serve packaging and our volunteers are undertaking extra cleaning to ensure the safety of all members.

Additional measures have also been put in place throughout the week including extra cleaning and removal of common touch points.

Despite these extra measures Gympie Salvos is still committed to living, loving and fighting to see our community transformed by the love of Jesus.
