How we are protecting you and your family

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in our community, we have adjusted how we operate programs and events on our site. Gympie Salvos as a restricted business has a COVID safe plan that includes the use of the Queensland Government's Check List. As an organisation we are committed to operating in line with all Government Measures and Mandates.

If you enter our buildings, we ask that you please abide by good physical distancing practices, hand hygiene, and do not enter site if you are unwell. In addition, when you enter our buildings, you will be required to provide your contact tracing information via the Queensland Government's Check In App.

We are fortunate that all expressions of The Salvation Army in Gympie operate under the industries (General Retail, Place of Worship and Community Centre) that are available to community members who are who vaccinated and unvaccinated. As such we will not be checking vaccination status on entry.

Additional measures have also been put in place throughout the week including extra cleaning and removal of common touch points. You will also notice Hand Sanitiser is available throughout our buildings.

When you arrive on a Sunday morning, and you enter our chapel you will notice our chairs are spaced out appropriately and we ask that only the same households sit together. In addition to these requirements there will be no sharing of common elements such as the offering plate. For members wishing to give financially to the church there will be opportunity to give at the exit or via electronic transfer.

From the 2nd January 2022 we will also ask that you please wear a face mask while visiting us.

Despite these extra measures Gympie Salvos is dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus.
