Depending on your situation, and what we have available, we may be able to help with a food hamper as well as referrals to other support services in our community.

Financial counselling

The Salvation Army’s free financial counselling service, Moneycare, is here to help you feel in control of your finances. We can work with you to manage your debt, develop new strategies or you may like to explore our free eBook. We can also point you in the right direction for a No Interest Loan.

A team member (from Doorways) will have a compassionate conversation with you to understand your needs and let you know what help is available.

Food market

Our food market is a small, supermarket-style store to provide essential food items from a range of suppliers at low, affordable prices. As stock depends on availability, the range of items may vary with a focus on essentials.

The market supports people experiencing financial hardship. Contact us to apply. You will need to provide proof of income and photo identification sighted (only one registration per household).

Housing

We run a community housing organisation that provides short- to medium-term accommodation.

In Goulburn, our houses operate under a transitional housing program that supports families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. This program helps bridge the gap between crisis accommodation and securing long-term, stable housing.

No interest loans

Provides low income households with safe and affordable access to credit, up to $1500 for essential goods and services. These loans are completely interest-free, with no fees and flexible repayments over 12 to 18 months.
