Christ is Enough

CHRIST IS ENOUGH...I HAVE DECIDED TO FOLLOW JESUS NO TURNING BACK

I have to say this is one of my favourite songs at the moment and thanks to the Hillsong people for reminding us that Christ is indeed enough.  But I'm challenged to think is that how I live all the time?  I would ask the same question of you... Is Christ enough?

In James 1:17 we read: "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights."

Christ is enough.

Ephesians 1:3-4 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ."

Christ is enough.

Psalm 23:1 "The Lord is my shepherd, I have everything I need."

Christ is enough.

This message is particularly necessary as we approach Christmas.  We are bombarded with advertising of what we need to have in order to experience a happy Christmas.  Our children must have these particular toys and we need these particular things otherwise Christmas just won't be what it could be.  Later on we hear of people dealing with incredible debt and not knowing how to get out of it.

God wants us to enjoy life.  "He came to give us life in all its fullness" to quote General John Gowans, and he was right.  But sometimes we need to be careful not to get carried away and find that in searching for that fulness of life we have in fact destroyed the life we had and could have.

Won't you help in spreading the message the CHRIST IS ENOUGH and everything we need can be found only in Him.

God bless and if you'd like to listen to this lovely song, here's the youtube link but I'd really recommend you purchase the whole album.  A real blessing.
