Individual and community volunteering

Share in the joy of giving this Christmas as a Salvos volunteer.

While Christmas is a time for family, reflection and celebration for most, for many Australians it represents added financial pressure, anxiety and loneliness.

If you're looking to give back this Christmas, consider volunteering for the Salvos and help give hope where it's needed most.

Each year, The Salvation Army provides over 160,000 meals and over 64,000 hampers and vouchers nationally during the Christmas season. In 2018, over 58,000 children received Christmas gifts donated, packed and delivered by the generous Australian public.

There are many ways you can make a difference this Christmas. To find out how, check out our current volunteering opportunities.

The Salvation Army acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to elders both past and present.
