Activities

Sunday worship, 9.30–10.45am 

Everyone is welcome to join our morning worship, where we come together for a time of prayer, praise and Bible teaching. Our services are relaxed, and our music is varied. We have a combined big band and brass band, as well as smaller worship music groups, creating a mix of lively and reflective moments throughout the church service. 

Kids 3-13 years are welcome to join us in the Rainbow Kids Church.  

Following the meeting, we invite you to join us for morning tea and a chat.

Tuesday, 10.30am–12.30pm 

All are welcome to attend the Springwood Salvos for morning tea and a friendly chat.

Sunday from 9:30am (during school terms)  

Rainbow Kids is a joyful, safe and welcoming space where preschoolers discover God's amazing love through Bible stories, songs, games, crafts and play.

Each Sunday, children enjoy an exciting morning filled with Bible stories, singing, games and crafts all specially designed for curious little minds and busy little hands.

Through play, friendship and simple Bible truths, we help children begin to know Jesus, grow in their faith and discover that they are wonderfully made and deeply loved by God.

At Rainbow Kids, we believe you're never too little to learn about God's BIG love!

Kids Church is a vibrant and welcoming place where primary aged children can discover Jesus, make great friends and have loads of fun!

Through exciting Bible stories, worship, games, challenges and creative activities, kids are encouraged to explore God's Word, ask questions and grow in their faith.

Weekly - Tuesday 9:30am – 11:00am (during school terms)

Mini Muzo’s is a music based playgroup for children between 0-5 years of age along with their parents or careers. It is a safe, relaxed and welcoming space where families can connect, build friendships, feel supported, play and grow together and create a sense of belonging and community.

Cost: $3 for 1 child and $5 for 2 + children

Each session includes:

• Singing and action songs
• Simple instruments and movement
• Craft
• Relaxed morning tea and space to connect
• Playtime for the littlies

Monthly Program - Friday, 5–7pm     

Kids Club is a free monthly program for primary school-aged children Kindergarten to Year 6, offering a fun and welcoming environment to connect, make friends and enjoy a variety of activities.

Each month features a different theme, with exciting games, team challenges, creative crafts, food and an engaging Bible message.

Kids Club provides an opportunity for children to build friendships, learn about Jesus and explore God's love in a fun, relaxed and age-appropriate way.

Sunday, Monthly  

Once a month, we have Cafe Church, where we gather around tables and have small group discussions, after a 30-minute short service. You are welcome to join any table! We would love to get to know you better. 

On these days, the kids will have their own discussion table available. 

Bi-monthly, Tuesday, 10.30am–12.30pm 

Cost: $6 per person 

Make new friends, enjoy morning tea and lunch, and hear from a guest speaker each time. 

Bi-monthly, First Monday, 7.15pm  

Cost: $15 per person 

Men's Club is a bi-monthly event designed specifically for men in our community to meet and build friendships. Each month features a guest speaker. 

A two-course dinner is provided with first-time guests free.  

Wednesday, 12.30-2pm

Join us in deeper conversations about life and faith with prompts from ‘Pass the Salt’. You are welcome to talk or just listen. 

Free light lunch provided

Thursday, 8-10pm

Thursday, 10am-12pm  

Cost: $5 per week 
 
Everyone is welcome to join our craft and patchwork group.  

 Personal projects plus community group projects such as knitting squares for ‘Wraps with Love’ and neonatal quilts. Beginners are welcome.  

Morning tea provided.  

Our school holiday program is for children and is a welcoming, safe and fun space for your children during the school holidays.

Keep an eye out for our 2026 dates for the end of January! 

Sunday, 3-4.30pm

All are welcome to join us for a cuppa as we worship together in a relaxed setting.  Afternoon Tea is provided.

Food & Friends

Last Sunday of every month, join us for a pot luck meal following Small Group Worship.

Our Salvos stores rely heavily on volunteer staff and are always looking for people to join the family.

The Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) support those on the frontline during an emergency by catering meals and providing tea and coffee.

The SAES is run by volunteers, and we are always looking for new recruits.

The training is easy; the environment is friendly and knowing you have played a part in helping others is priceless.
