Activities

Sunday worship, 9.30–10.45am 

Everyone is welcome to join our morning worship, where we come together for a time of prayer, praise and Bible teaching. Our services are relaxed, and our music is varied. We have a combined big band and brass band, as well as smaller worship music groups, creating a mix of lively and reflective moments throughout the church service. 

Kids 3-13 years are welcome to join us in the Rainbow Kids Church.  

Following the meeting, we invite you to join us for morning tea and a chat.

Tuesday, 10.30am–12.30pm 

All are welcome to attend the Springwood Salvos for morning tea and a friendly chat.

Sunday, 10–10.45am (during school terms)  

Cost: Free

Kids’ church is for ages 3–14. Kids enjoy games, singing and Bible teaching while high schoolers and adults engage in the worship service. 

During our Sunday worship service, we have a dedicated creche room for babies. 

Friday, 5–7pm     

Open to children from Kindergarten to Year 6, join the fun each month, make new friends, and learn interesting facts from the Bible!

Kids Club is free to join, there are lots of activities, games and food! 

 Upcoming dates: September 12, October 17, November 14 and December 5.

Fortnightly, Sunday, 4.30–6.30pm 

Cost: $10 per term (first time free) 

All are welcome from Year 7 and up to join in for combined games, food, and a dive into the Bible with summer parties being our favourite! 

 Young Adults stay on from 6.30pm to dig deeper and enjoy some young adult time.  

Dinner provided. 

Sunday, Monthly  

Once a month, we have Cafe Church, where we gather around tables and have small group discussions, after a 30-minute short service. You are welcome to join any table! We would love to get to know you better. 

On these days, the kids will have their own discussion table available. 

Bi-monthly, Tuesday, 10.30am–12.30pm 

Cost: $6 per person 

Make new friends, enjoy morning tea and lunch, and hear from a guest speaker each time. 

Bi-monthly, First Monday, 7.15pm  

Cost: $15 per person 

Men's Club is a bi-monthly event designed specifically for men in our community to meet and build friendships. Each month features a guest speaker. 

A two-course dinner is provided with first-time guests free.  

Wednesday, 12.30-2pm

Join us in deeper conversations about life and faith with prompts from ‘Pass the Salt’. You are welcome to talk or just listen. 

Free light lunch provided

Thursday, 8-10pm

Thursday, 10am-12pm  

Cost: $5 per week 
 
Everyone is welcome to join our craft and patchwork group.  

 Personal projects plus community group projects such as knitting squares for ‘Wraps with Love’ and neonatal quilts. Beginners are welcome.  

Morning tea provided.  

Our school holiday program is for children and is a welcoming, safe and fun space for your children during the school holidays.

Please join us for our small group Bible study every week.

Our Salvos stores rely heavily on volunteer staff and are always looking for people to join the family.

The Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) support those on the frontline during an emergency by catering meals and providing tea and coffee.

The SAES is run by volunteers, and we are always looking for new recruits.

The training is easy; the environment is friendly and knowing you have played a part in helping others is priceless.
