As Christmas approaches, far too many mums like Sophie are having to choose between staying in a violent relationship or leaving and becoming homeless with their children.

Sophie would do anything for her daughter whom she loves so much. 

But when she tried to leave her violent partner, she had nowhere to go… 

Fortunately, everything changed when Sophie came to the Salvos.  

“I’ll never forget the first phone call I had with Fran, my Salvos Case Worker. She said, ‘Sophie, we’re going to help you, for as long as you need. So don’t worry, you’re going to be okay.’ She was amazing. No judgment. Just love. It was the best feeling in the world.”
