“There were a couple of incidents where I should have left, but I couldn’t see a way out. I felt trapped because I had no money to leave.”

Sadly, Kim’s situation is not a one-off case. Domestic violence is the number one cause of homelessness for women in Australia.  And the increasing cost of housing puts additional pressure on women and children escaping violence.
