One of the cornerstones of our community is our dedication to making a real impact on those around us. If you are experiencing financial hardship or are facing a crisis, contact us to find out how we can support you.  

Depending on your situation, and what we have available, we may be able to provide you with vouchers for food, fuel or electricity. We can also help with referrals to other support services such as addiction rehabilitation centres.

A team member will have a compassionate conversation with you to understand your needs and let you know what help is available. 

When you phone us, you may be told you're eligible for a voucher and directed to visit us for collection on Monday or Tuesday, 9am–5pm.

Thursday, 7.30–9am 

Every Thursday, our dedicated volunteers prepare and serve a warm, cooked breakfast for those who are in need of a nourishing meal or a place to connect. Open to all, we look forward to seeing you there and sharing a meal in a spirit of kindness and care.

Financial counselling

The Salvation Army’s free financial counselling service, Moneycare, is here to help you feel in control of your finances. We can work with you to manage your debt, develop new strategies or you may like to explore our free eBook. We can also point you in the right direction for a No Interest Loan.

Our philosophy is that no one should be without a safe, affordable and secure home. Free services include accommodation, case management services, advocacy, counselling, meals and more.​​​​

Private Rental Assistance​ ​Program

Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

In partnership with Uniting Wimmera and Brophy Family and Youth Services, we deliver this program to support people aged over 25 who are at risk of or are experiencing homelessness with financial and practical assistance to start or keep rental tenancies. People living in social housing who can afford and sustain housing can also receive help with the transition.

This service helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with accommodation assistance advice and referrals for additional support. Assistance is individualised and starts with an Initial Assessment and Planning service for people aged 25 years and over. 

Salvation Army Housing Victoria

Salvation Army Housing Victoria

SAHV is a registered community housing provider in Victoria. It provides affordable and social housing for people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or have low to moderate incomes.

The service offers a range of housing options, including long-term and transitional housing, crisis accommodation, and rooming house properties.

The Salvation Army provides assistance to individuals who have experienced an emergency that impacted their residence and personal or household items. Emergencies can include house fires, bushfires, floods and more.
