Buying gifts for loved ones and arranging a special Christmas meal can be a real struggle. Christmas is a busy time for community organisations and charities, a time when many people reach out for help and seek a sense of community connection.
According to the 2022 Christmas Research Report conducted by The Salvation Army, 99% of people who accessed our Emergency Relief services expected to have a shortage of money or financial difficulties this Christmas and 77% were concerned about affording enough food to eat on Christmas.
A food drive is a simple yet impactful way to donate non-perishable food items that Salvos can distribute to those most in need.

We encourage individuals, businesses, schools, community groups, and churches to join us in making a difference and help transform our community this Christmas.
By filling a Bag of HOPE, you are helping The Salvation Army provide over 2000 food hampers for Tasmanians this holiday season.
