Christmas Cheer assistance 2025

Christmas — a time of celebration of the love of God — can be challenging, stressful and isolating if finances are tight.

If you’re worried about your money, and considering buy-now-pay-later loans or maxing out your credit card, why not give Moneycare Financial Counselling a call first? There may be much less costly options available to you that won't set you behind for 2026.

Registrations for Christmas assistance through Shepparton Salvos are now open.  We are able to assist with presents for children up to twelve years of age, and vouchers to make Christmas celebrations a little more special. Our normal food and other supports continue as well.

To register for Christmas Cheer, please visits us at:

The Salvation Army Shepparton Corps and Community Centre
99 Nixon Street (corner of Orr Street)
Shepparton VIC 3630

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
10.00am to 2.00pm

If registering for children's toys, please bring ID that shows they are in your care such as Medicare or Centrelink cards.

Registrations close on Thursday 11 December, for distribution the following week.

Lunch on Christmas Day

The Christmas Day lunch in Shepparton is run by Christmas for Those Alone.

Lunch will be held at the McIntosh Centre at the Sheppparton Showgrounds from 11.00am to 2.00pm on Christmas Day. Registrations are required.

More details including how to register on their Facebook page.
