I have served as an employee of The Salvation Army for more than 28 years — mostly in accounting and finance roles. I have been directly involved with Salvos Funerals from the very beginning — as a concept in 2015 through to today.
This is special work! It’s a real privilege to support grieving families simply and practically — but more than that, to show human compassion and care.

I have spent most of my career journeying with people through life’s challenging circumstances, with my previous role being a chaplain within the court and prison system.
I am truly humbled to be serving families within Salvos Funerals. Supporting people within their grief is an honour that I never take for granted. It is when I am at my best.

As a Salvation Army Officer for over 18 years, my calling has led me to support individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. I believe every person deserves dignity and respect in all aspects of life.
It is an honour and a privilege to serve families in their time of grief, and I never take for granted the sacred space they invite us into.

Having started my career in the funeral industry in 1995, I have been truly fortunate to care for many families over the years.
It is indeed an honour and privilege to support a family and assist them in paying tribute to their loved ones who are entrusted to our care.

My connection with The Salvation Army began when I was just a child, first in Northern Ireland and later in Australia. Having experienced that care firsthand, it's been a privilege to spend much of my life supporting others alongside my wife, Isabel.
Being part of Salvos Funerals is another opportunity to continue that commitment, offering families compassion, understanding and support when they need it most.

After 20 years of working in administration in the corporate world, I wanted to assist our communities in a more meaningful way, therefore I joined the Salvation Army.
Through Salvos Funerals I have had the privilege to be the first point of contact for many of our families. I am committed to providing a supportive and peaceful environment for bereaved families from their first call to Salvos Funerals.

Salvos Funerals continues this legacy by providing compassionate, dignified and affordable funeral services to families across Australia.
As a not-for-profit funeral service owned and operated by The Salvation Army, profits from Salvos Funerals help support its wider work with Australians experiencing difficult times. This means that while we’re helping your family honour a life, your choice can also help make a difference in the lives of others.
We’re here to make arranging a funeral as simple and supported as possible, with clear guidance, transparent pricing and genuine care every step of the way.
