As a church community, we appreciate this and have created a diverse range of programs for children starting from two years old to young adults, where your children can participate in valuable activities. Each of our programs has a dedicated team of leaders who have a passion for children’s ministries.
The Salvation Army is committed to the safety and wellbeing of people of all ages, particularly children.

Sunday, 10.15am
Tiny Tots: 2–5 years
Kids Church: 5–12 years (primary school)
Salt + Light Youth: 12–16 years (high school) — held fortnightly
After joining the adults for some multi-generational worship time, children from 2–16 years old are invited to head out to Kids Church. Children can build strong friendships while they learn about God in a fun and exciting way through songs, games and other activities.
School terms only.

Fortress Youth is an opportunity for young people aged 12–17 to connect with one another and have fun together. They meet fortnightly for fun, low-cost activities and outings, with a focus on building friendships and strong Christian relationships.
Most events are held on site at The Salvation Army Perth Fortress.
School term only.

These gatherings vary in time and location.
Young adults aged 18 or above enjoy getting together for activities, outings and Bible study.
Junior Soldiers is a Salvation Army discipleship class for young people aged 7–18 who have decided to be a follower of Jesus. A junior soldier is a junior member of The Salvation Army who wants to grow in their faith.
In Junior Soldiers' classes, children learn about Christian living, the work and mission of The Salvation Army, and are encouraged to express their faith through ministry within The Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army believes children can have an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Leaders at The Salvation Army Perth Fortress nurture young people on their spiritual journey and engage young people in special projects that will make a difference in their local or global community.

Music is an essential part of a child's development and has been proven to help with academic subjects at school and develop the brain. It is also a beautiful way to praise and worship God.
The Salvation Army Perth Fortress offers a learner and YP (young people’s) band to teach children how to play a brass instrument.
These bands are a tremendous opportunity for your child to receive training in an instrument. Children are given the opportunity to perform in public and at special events, including Sunday morning worship.
