We help people find freedom

Our church is a place where you can be yourself and find a place to belong.

In our community

We love and support one another, share generously and walk together through life’s challenges. We never give up but journey with people for the long haul. We help people find freedom - freedom from fear, poverty and addiction, and freedom to dream, to love, to belong and to live life to the full.

Our faith in Jesus inspires us to love without conditions and invite everyone to discover hope, purpose and true freedom in him. Wherever you are on the journey, you can find connection and belonging with us at The Salvation Army Moree.

We connect with every part of the community - in schools, shopping centers, hospitals, social housing estates, and even local cafes. We engage with every age group and demographic, tackling city-wide issues while also supporting people one-on-one.

Wherever we are, one thing stays true: we help people find freedom. Freedom from fear, neglect, poverty, and addiction. Freedom to dream, to love, to make a difference, and to live life to the full.

We share freedom through community. We believe in the power of people loving and helping one another, with those who ‘have’ sharing generously and sacrificially with those who don’t. We offer acceptance, encouragement, healing, and support without discrimination. No one should have to ‘go it alone’. Our goal is to build community, not just provide services. We don’t give up on people - we journey with them for the long haul, helping them find freedom and stay free.

We inspire freedom through action. We’re not afraid to get our hands dirty. If the environment is tough, we’ll go. If the issue is controversial, we’ll act with love. If the task seems impossible, we’ll try anyway. We see freedom as for everyone, no exceptions, and invite people from all walks of life to join in helping others find it.

We explore freedom through faith. Freedom is both spiritual and physical, and our faith convinces us that hope, purpose, and fulfilment can be everyone’s story. We strive to speak, act, and love like him, and we believe Jesus has always been, and will always be, about people finding freedom.

Volunteer with us and make an impact

We truly appreciate our volunteers! When you volunteer with The Salvation Army, you’re offering more than just your time, you are offering a lifeline to someone at their most vulnerable moment.

Many people we’ve helped say that knowing someone cared was a turning point in their lives. And time after time, we see past clients come back as volunteers, eager to pay it forward.
