We believe in good for you 

If you are experiencing financial hardship or are facing a crisis, contact us to find out how we can support you. We believe in good for you and want to see you get back on your feet. 

Depending on your situation, and what we have available, we may be able to provide you with vouchers for food, fuel or electricity. We can also help with referrals to other support services such as addiction rehabilitation centres. 

Access to the following services is at: 26 Jenolan Way, Merriwa.

Emergency relief

For all-year financial support, call us and a team member will have a compassionate conversation with you to understand your needs and let you know what help is available. 

When you phone us, you may be told you're eligible for a voucher and directed to visit Doorways at Merriwa for collection on a Friday between 9am and 1pm. 

When you come in, you’ll be able to enjoy our lounge room while you wait to collect your allocated support.

Community Lunch

First Sunday of the month, 12pm 

We offer a free community lunch once a month on a Sunday at 12pm. All are welcome. 

No need to RSVP — just turn up at 12 for lunch, or come at 10am for our worship service first.

Wednesday and Friday 11.45am

We want you to have nourishing food. Each fortnight, you can access a fresh food box — including fruit, vegetables and bread — to help you stretch your budget further and feed your family.  

Due to high demand, these are limited to one box per household, per fortnight.  

No need to book, just turn up.

Come along for a hot breakfast (offering bacon, eggs and other items) and warm conversation.

Friday, 10.30am–1pm 

If you are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, come along for support. The Wanneroo Engagement and Assessment Team (WEAT) can provide assessment and support to individuals and families.

Financial counselling

The Salvation Army’s free financial counselling service, Moneycare, is here to help you feel in control of your finances. We can work with you to manage your debt, develop new strategies or you may like to explore our free eBook. We can also point you in the right direction for a No Interest Loan.
