Timbrel Practice

Timbrels are an instrument of the percussion family, closely related to the tambourine. These practices are aimed at teaching people how to play them along with music; mainly brass band marches. Timbrels are used in our worship services and are often seen in ANZAC marches.

Salvo's Assist and Doorways assist our clients in need. Clients are encouraged to contact 1300 371 288 to undergo a welfare assessment. Assistance can be retrieved Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:00am-12:00pm. Doorways Case Management operates each day outside of those hours.

Come Together and Craft

This is for all of our artistically 'crafty' ladies. You are encouraged to bring your items that you are currently working on and spend some time with other like minded people who are on the same journey. Share stories, point, tips, hints and life in general. Cross stitching, sewing, scrap booking... it does not matter. Building houses out of ice block sticks perhaps... CTC is about providing an open area for ladies to embrace their creative side. Some also bring their mid day meals with them to share with others.
This program meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month. There is no pressure to start at 9:00 and finish at 4:00pm. Some people come for a long time whilst others attend for short periods of time. We are also aware that there are school commitmen

The Salvation Army utilises music within its worship services. These practices allow for musicians to play together and to learn new music. You do not necessarily need to own your own instrument. We can provide some to a limited degree.
