Help with your energy bills

The NSW Government’s Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) program can help cover your current residential electricity or gas bills if you're experiencing short-term financial hardship, crisis, or emergency.

Complete this form, and a team member will contact you to assess your eligibility.

Important next steps while you wait:

  • Contact your energy provider immediately to let them know you’ve applied for EAPA.
  • Your provider cannot disconnect your service while your EAPA application is being assessed.
  • Ask your provider about available support such as payment extensions, switching plans, or hardship programs.

Note: EAPA cannot be used for overdue or carried-forward balances.
