Thank you for your enquiry regarding volunteering with Greater West Salvos. Volunteers play a significant role in how we serve our community in the Penrith LGA and the 2770 suburbs of Western Sydney.

We currently operate 3 sites:

1. St Marys - 216 Queen St, St Marys

2. Lethbridge Park - 2 Bouganville Rd, Lethbridge Park

Roles

Shop Assistant - Help support our Life Essential store by filling shelves and supporting customers as they shop.

Cashier - Volunteer on our Life Essentials Store register. This would require computer literacy as well as confidence in money handling. This requires a valid Police Check.

Drivers - We need help collecting deliveries that enable our shop to function. We need capable drivers to pick up donated goods. This requires a valid Police Check and Drivers Licence

Receptionist - We need cheerful and friendly faces to welcome community members and direct them to appropriate services. This role requires a valid Police Check.

Doorways Volunteer - This involves the distribution of emergency relief vouchers. This role requires a high level of interpersonal skills as well as computer literacy. This requires a valid Police Check and WWCC.
