A Salvo handing over a Christmas hamper

Many Aussie families might not have Christmas this year.

No Christmas tree. No presents for the children on Christmas morning. No food in the cupboards …

… and some won’t even have a home to call their own.

Fiona, Mark and their two young kids used to be a happy, thriving family. But when Mark had a serious accident and could no longer work, everything fell apart.

Fiona began skipping meals, so her kids could eat. Mark put off medical treatment, just to keep the power on.

But the little money they had ran out, and this young family were evicted from their home the day before Christmas Eve.

No one should be homeless at Christmas. With your help, they don’t have to be.

“On Christmas Day, the Salvos people came with a Christmas tree and Christmas presents for the kids
and this big basket full of food.
Their kindness was completely overwhelming.
I couldn’t stop crying tears of joy.” - Fiona
