For families who have lost everything, Christmas will hurt most.

While many Australians are enjoying the warm feelings that Christmas brings, there are shattered families with hurt and fear in their hearts.

Sadly, the impact COVID-19 is having on Australians is hurting in ways people never expected.

It’s not just isolation, loneliness and hardship. It’s the hidden violence hurting families too.

Reports suggest one in 10 Australian women in a relationship are experiencing domestic violence during the COVID-19 crisis. And requests for financial support from the Salvos are already up by 7%.

The only way we can get through this is by standing together and helping each other.

Today your generosity to the Salvos Christmas Appeal will give a family the urgent help they desperately need to heal their hurt. Safe refuge and a caring Salvo. Christmas lunch. Presents for the kids.

You will give a family hope and a Christmas filled with joy.

What a Christmas gift!

Thank you for standing with the Salvos this Christmas, to help us leave no one in need.
