Quote from Paula, 'I finally for away. But I was honmeless. That was my rock bottom'. Image of Paula looking distressed and carrying her young child.

Christmas should be a time of joy for everyone.

But more families than ever are facing the risk of homelessness this Christmas.

Just weeks before Christmas, Paula was distraught, holding her baby in her arms, crying for help after escaping a violent relationship. She had nowhere to go. No family to turn to. No safe place to sleep.

Just her children, and a prayer that someone, somewhere could help.

She said, “I finally got away. But I was homeless. That was my rock bottom. I didn’t know what to do or where to go for help.”

With so many families being pushed to the brink of homelessness by unaffordable housing costs and rising prices - you are the hope people are praying for.

Paula recalled, “If it wasn’t for the Salvos, I wouldn’t have made it through.”

We can only do what we do, because of the compassion and generosity of people like you.

Your kindness can provide families like Paula’s with immediate support to help get them through the Christmas period, and ongoing wraparound Salvos care to help them rebuild their lives moving forward.

Please give as generously as you can to help families facing homelessness this Christmas.

No matter how much you give, please know every single dollar has the power to help a family in immediate crisis.

Please support The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal today. Thank you.
