The Salvation Army’s submissionw as informed from our position as a provider of financnial counselling services in the state, and of gambling harm services in other parts of the country.

The discussion paper focused on the practical questions of implimentation and the necessary consideration needed to roll out a card-based gambling system, including the frequerncy of activity statements, and the length of cooling off periods, to the need for individualsied loss limit information to minimise gamblign harm.

The Salvation Army continues to work with governments to minimise gambling harm and will continue to advocate for harm minimisation approches to gambling.
