Ken
Waterworth was appointed bandmaster of the Melbourne Staff Band in June
1994 having previously been a member of the band for fourteen years which
included a three year term as deputy bandmaster.
Employed within the Directorate
of School Education as a Director of Music at Eltham High School, Ken
is responsible for an instrumental program of over 350 music students.
In January 1995, he received an Australia Day Award for his service to
the Community and Arts.
As staff bandmaster, Ken is
challenged to maintain the high standard of performance and ministry that
has been established over previous years. It is his desire that the Melbourne
Staff Band continues to be relevant in every aspect of its ministry and
effectively communicate the gospel.
