Electricity & Gas Assistance

If you’re finding it hard to pay your household electricity or gas bill because of a short-term financial challenge - such as unexpected medical expenses, a sudden drop in income, or another urgent situation - you may be able to get help through the NSW Government’s Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) program.

EAPA works by sending electronic vouchers directly to your energy retailer, reducing the amount you owe and helping to ease the pressure.

At Sydney City Salvos, our friendly team can walk alongside you through the process - from contacting your energy provider to checking if you’re eligible. Eligibility criteria are set by the NSW Government and usually include factors like your current financial situation, the type of energy account you have, and whether this is your main place of residence.
