(Formerly known as Sydney Congress Hall)
Located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, our Elizabeth Street site has been part of the city’s story for over 140 years - a place of hope, connection and community through the changing times.
We offer a variety of services and opportunities for connection, both within our historic building and out in the wider community, including:
- Hope Dinner - A free community meal every Wednesday night, open to all.
- Midweek Chapel - A space for midweek reflection, worship, and encouragement.
- English Conversation Classes - Build confidence in speaking English in a friendly and supportive environment.
- Sunday Church Service - Join us each Sunday for worship, teaching, and community.
- Prayer Meeting - Gather with others for prayer, support, and spiritual connection.
Whether you’re looking to connect socially, explore faith, or simply share a meal, you are always welcome at Elizabeth Street.
Elizabeth Street Redevelopment
From 2026, our programs at Elizabeth Street will temporarily relocate to other Salvation Army sites while the redevelopment of 140 Elizabeth Street is underway.
