Back to school!

This is the week - uniforms are ironed, the next size up of school shoes have been purchased and polished, and the sports uniform and stationery are labelled. This week, children go back to school, some for the first time, some at different schools, and some off to high school.

This week, I want you to know that I am praying for our families and kids as they go back to school.

Big Buds, why not make a special phone call to your little bud this week. Find out from their family what day they are going back to school. Give them a call the night before to let them know you are praying for them - you will be surprised how much that will mean to the child.

If you are feeling a little more adventurous, ask the family if you can write a note to be placed in their lunch box. Then your little bud will get a special surprise at morning tea time.

Junior Soldiers Term 1 2013

Junior Soldiers will be held on the following dates in Term 1, from 4:30pm to 6:00 pm at the Lower Hall at South Barwon, 180 Francis Street, Belmont.

• Friday 15th February - Let Your Light Shine
• Friday 1st March - For Everyone
• Friday 15th March - Only One Church

There are fewer lessons this term due to the staggered start of children back at school, and Easter being the end of Term 1.
