Things got a little hot in church this morning! Moses and the burning bush...perhaps you remember first hearing about this event as a child. This week you have the opportunity to explore it with your own family.
We did have a suggestion to include a pot plant and box of matches in the kids packs for church this week, however we recognise this may not have been a 'wise choice'!
With pre-school children this week, why don't you try doing your own burning bush finger painting with red, yellow and orange paint. If you don't have any at home, we can lend you a small pot of each colour to make it easier - just
contact Graeme. Write 'holy ground' around the edges, and explore with your child how the bush didn't burn - a miracle of God.
If you have primary school aged children, explore what it means to be called by God to serve. Moses, through the burning bush, was called to serve God. As Christians we are called to serve God. We can make excuses and disappoint God, or we can do all we can to serve Him. Every Christian is called by God to serve him at school, work, or play. We can serve God no matter where he places us. Ask your child in what ways they can serve God this week - at home, at school, with the neighbours?
Bless you and your family!
