If you are experiencing financial hardship or are facing a crisis, contact us to find out how we can support you. We believe in good for you and want to see you get back on your feet. 

Depending on your situation, and what we have available, we may be able to provide you with vouchers for food, fuel or electricity. We can also help with referrals to other support services such as addiction rehabilitation centres.

A team member will have a compassionate conversation with you to understand your needs and let you know what help is available.

When you phone us, you may be told you're eligible for a voucher and directed to visit us for collection on a Tuesday between 10am–12.30pm.

You can collect from Corner Lane Cove Road and Dobson Crescent, Ryde NSW.

Financial counselling

The Salvation Army’s free financial counselling service, Moneycare, is here to help you feel in control of your finances. We can work with you to manage your debt, develop new strategies or you may like to explore our free eBook. We can also point you in the right direction for a No Interest Loan.

Homelessness

The Salvation Army supports people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. If you need urgent overnight accommodation, call Link2home on 1800 152 152.

Link2home provides information, assessments, and referrals to specialist services across NSW.

Available 9am–10pm daily. After hours, they provide emergency referrals.

Domestic violence

Domestic violence is abuse in an intimate relationship that causes fear or harm. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, call the Domestic Violence Line on 1800 656 463 for free, confidential support, available 24/7.

Rent or mortgage stress

If you can’t afford private rent, Housing NSW can help with access to affordable housing.

Check your eligibility online and contact the Housing Contact Centre on 1300 HOUSING (1300 468 746). Services include general enquiries and Rentstart assistance, available 24/7.

The Salvation Army provides support for people affected by alcohol, drugs, or gambling. Services include residential treatment, community-based programs, and withdrawal management. Everyone has the opportunity to recover and lead a fulfilling life.
