When you phone us, you may be told you're eligible for a voucher and directed to visit us for collection on Tuesday or Thursday between 11am and 3pm.
Our Doorways Caseworker Daniella is also available to help you sort through more complex issues that require longer term support.

The Salvation Army’s free financial counselling service, Moneycare, is here to help you feel in control of your finances. We can work with you to manage your debt, develop new strategies or you may like to explore our free eBook. We can also point you in the right direction for a No Interest Loan (NILS).

We offer hot showers on site. To ensure a smooth visit, please call us to book your shower. We also have toiletries and towels available if you need them, and you can enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and toast while you wait.

Tuesday, fortnightly, 10.30am–12.30pm
Receive a free haircut from Val, our Corps Officer and talented hairdresser! Haircuts are available during the community meal.

Tuesday, 12pm
Every Tuesday, join us for a delicious hot meal and dessert for just a gold coin donation. More than the food, this is a chance to share friendship and community in a welcoming space.
All meals are prepared on-site by volunteers, with thanks to Oz Harvest for supplying fresh ingredients.

Tuesday, 1.30–3.30pm
Need some washing done? Orange Sky, a free mobile laundry service (washing and drying), operates at Raymond Terrace Salvos.
Enjoy a chat with the friendly Orange Sky volunteers and grab a coffee, tea, or a snack at Salvos reception.
Come in at 1.30pm to ensure you don’t miss out.

Tuesday and Thursday, 11am–3pm
Raymond Terrace Salvos is open for a range of community support on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
You can drop in to access the following:
- Emergency food hampers and frozen, ready-to-eat meals
- Referral and advocacy to other services
- A hot shower
- A safe place to simply sit for a while and have a chat
Drop in during these times or call us to make an appointment to talk to our friendly and caring support team.

Wednesday, 1–2pm
If you’re interested in learning more about Christianity, come along and join the informal and friendly group.

In a non-invasive and non-judgmental way, Positive Lifestyle Program (PLP) mentors encourage participants to consider eight key aspects of life over eight weekly meetings, at a time that is convenient.
Topics include self-awareness, anger, depression and loneliness, stress, grief and loss, assertiveness, self-esteem, and future directions.
The preferred delivery of this program is one on one and in person, however alternative arrangements can be arranged.

Christmas can be challenging, stressful and isolating if finances are tight.
