Homelessness support and accommodation

The Beacon

Image of The Beacon exterior Located on the corner of Nash and Aberdeen St, Northbridge, Homelessness Services (The Beacon) provides accommodation, case management and a comprehensive range of services to adults over the age of 18 who are experiencing homelessness and receive Centrelink benefits.

The purpose-built 118– bed facility, opened in February 2014, provides clients with a clear path to wholeness through a mix of programs, enabling them to achieve the maximum possible degree of self-reliance and independence.

In an historic move, a first for homelessness providers in Perth, Homelessness Services opened its doors to single women and couples in August 2015.

All prospective clients are required to undertake an interview and psychological profiling prior to entry.

The $23.3m, three-story facility is located on the same site where The Salvation Army’s original Lentara  Men’s Hostel provided 52 rooms since June 1978.

Our values - human dignity, justice, hope, compassion and community - drive our actions .
