Giving hope where it's needed most

In 2013, REIWA created their Community REInvest program and set up a partnership with The Salvation Army in order to help us tackle homelessness throughout WA.

Through this program, REIWA's members (real estate agents and property managers) who have signed up to the initiative, assist through financial support and volunteering.

REIWA is also a founding partner of The Beacon, our shining light in the Northbridge area, which provides support and accomodation to the homeless in Perth.

The Salvation Army is proud to be a Community Partner of Perth Arena.

We receive unclaimed lost property after a certain time frame as well as receive support through other initiatives such as the Red Shield Appeal.

Dale Alcock Homes has supported The Salvation Army's Harry Hunter Rehabilitation Centre by substantially reducing costs to build four new units for female residents and will complete a major renovation to the men's accommodation this year.

They have also recently provided funding for the Garden of Hope at Harry Hunter Rehabilitation centre, a community garden space that provides opportunities for education, work therapy.

Since 1997, The Wearne Charitable Trust has provided funds for The Salvation Army to administer a White Goods Scheme and assist those who can not afford necessary items such as washing machines and refrigerators having no other options open to them.

This program continues to provide essential support to over 70 families each year to the value of over $40,000.

Lavan Legal provides us with a vehicle for our daily soup run in Perth's CBD.

The Salvation Army is also thankful for the Lavan Legal Christmas Kombi, collecting food donations to give to those less fortunate at Christmas.

Karrinyup Centre are long standing supporters of The Salvation Army.

From the Shed Your Winter Coat Appeal, to the Santa Stocking Appeal, Karrinyup Centre are enabling us to help more disadvantaged people around Western Australia.

Every year, Crown Perth provide much needed funding to The Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal and emergency relief appeals.

Crown Perth employees are also actively engaged with The Salvation Army, collecting for the Red Shield Appeal and coordinating a collection for the Easter Appeal.

With the support of Occumed, The Salvation Army’s provide a Health and Wellbeing Programme designed to be integrated in to the services offered to the homeless in Western Australia.

Through a range of sporting and leisure activities, the programme increases motivation and self esteem within the clients, resulting in enhanced participation in their rehabilitation process. 

Southern Cross Austereo is a generous supporter of The Red Shield Appeal, our annual fundraising campaign that enables us to provide hope and support to more than one million Australians every year.

They support us by providing local and national advertising space. 

Every year, The City of Bayswater hold a golf day, with proceeds going to The Salvation Army in Morley.

Printforce provides the corporate community with the opportunity to support The Salvation Army while spreading Christmas cheer, with part proceeds from every card being donated to The Red Shield Appeal. 

Solid Gold Diamonds are a long standing supporter of The Salvation Army's work with domestic violence in Western Australia.

The Salvation Army's Kwinana Men's Shed Program is proudly supported by Mineral Resources.

The program is a pivotal part of the Rockingham and Kwinana community, providing support through a variety of social activities, health seminars, walking groups and woodwork activities.

The Salvation Army's Beyond The Classroom school education program is proudly supported by Bendigo Bank.

The program is offered to all schools across Western Australia, educating students about social welfare issues in the Australian community and encouraging them to be involved.

Over the past twelve months the Beyond The Classroom program connected with over 2,000 primary and secondary students in Western Australia and as a result, 33 schools raised over $34,000 for The Red Shield Appeal. 

The West Australian is The Salvation Army's local media partner, providing advertising space to support all major appeals throughout the year including the Red Shield Appeal and the Christmas Appeal.
