If you need somebody to talk to, our Corps Officers (ministers) are here to listen, to support and to pray for you. Our team members are also here to listen & identify how best to support you where possible.

Not enough money to make ends meet or need assistance for an emergency in your life?

Financial problems can affect people from all walks of life. Sometimes things go wrong and we all could do with a little help at times. 

The Salvation Army offers a range of support options to help with financial difficulties, depending on the nature of your problems. Our aim is to meet your immediate material needs, whilst working at understanding your situation. 

If you need food or financial assistance to support you through a crisis, please call our Karratha office 9187 2800 or 0438 727 804 to organise a confidential face to face appointment.

Alternatively, you can call Salvos Phone Assistance Line (PAL) on 08 6210 3288 Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.

Our friendly team members will do their best to assist, or if necessary, provide a referral to a more appropriate service. If you need more ongoing help, you can speak with our Case Worker, or we can help you access financial counselling.

Positive Lifestyle Program

By appointment only

An 8-session program focused on building your self-awareness and developing positive life skills or strategies relating to:  

  • Anger 
  • Depression
  • Loneliness
  • Stress
  • Grief
  • Assertiveness and self-esteem
  • Relationships. 

Sessions are conducted one on one or in a group setting with a trained facilitator.

If you or someone you know are in need of youth accommodation, we may be able to help. We support every young person to reach their potential, and provide assistance to help them move forward.

Women’s refuge

Women’s refuge

This service provides short term accommodation to women with or without children impacted by family and domestic violence (FDV), homelessness, or other forms of crisis.

It includes a Mobile Outreach Program that provides support to any individual, regardless of gender, who has been impacted by FDV located in Karratha or surrounding areas (Roebourne, Wickham, Dampier and Point Samson).
