Description
This unit is designed to help students reflect on the meaning and expression of mission in contemporary Australia in a global context. This unit will cover themes such as multiculturalism and multi-ethnicity, post-secularism, contemporary issues in a world of contested ideas, globalism and diverse missional perspectives.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this unit, it is expected that students will be able to:
- Analyse the ethnic and cultural diversity that is present in contemporary Australia and the implication of this diversity for mission and ministry.
- Outline critical biblical, theological and pastoral issues relevant to ministry with people from diverse contexts.
- Assess the importance of contextual analysis and its application to current social and missional issues.
- Compose and apply a tailored response in missional context.
