Serving the Craigieburn community and surrounds

In December 2000, The Salvation Army decided to start planting a church in the growing postcode of 3064. Salvos 3064 began as a cell group, a Connect Group-based church (in the style of Acts 2:42-47)  where all the groups joined together for Sunday worship.

In February 2001, Majors Gary and Julie Grant started a small prayer meeting at their home. Weekly worship services began in November 2001 then went public in March 2002. At that time, services were held on Sunday nights at Wilmott Park Primary School in Craigieburn.

In late March 2005, Salvos 3064 moved to a semi-permanent location in a factory setting at 16 Rushwood Drive, Craigieburn.

In 2011, we moved to our current location at 75 Interlink Drive, a dedicated community facility with a main auditorium, basketball half-court, multi-purpose rooms and a welfare service.

Through all the years, we have always strived to be relevant to the community in which we serve. We love to find connection points with our local people, which include many cultures, many families, and people living in need.

As more people move into Hume and the surrounds, we want them to know that they are moving into a caring community where Jesus can make a great impact in their lives and our world.
