About Linsell Lodge

Linsell Lodge is a home for those who require ongoing aged care to meet their assessed needs. Linsell provides a full range of professional aged care services. It features wide, well-lit corridors and levelled walkways and paths that lead to our numerous amenities including beautiful gardens and all weather outdoor seating areas. Linsell Lodge has its own café on site.

Linsell Lodge is run by The Salvation Army, a not-for-profit Christian organisation, and specialises in meeting the needs of the aged. Our care encompasses an holistic approach which addresses physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Our focus is on providing support, care and comfort thereby improving the life of all our residents.

We promote a caring homely environment which is achieved by building stable relationships by providing support to the resident and family in all stages of life.

All dimensions of the person as an individual is encouraged including interaction with family, friends, other residents and the wider community.The nursing care provided at Linsell Lodge is based upon The Salvation Army mission and philosophy which is to alleviate human suffering and distress without discrimination.

Relocated from the heart of Adelaide to Angle Park in May 2008, Linsell Lodge is a new purpose built facility designed to provide a caring, warm environment to meet the needs of its residents in a supportive and holistic environment.

Services provided

Linsell Lodge offers residents comfortable single rooms with ensuite facilities.

The manager leads a professional, friendly and multicultural nursing and aged care team with high level qualifications, expertise and understanding. Nursing care is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Linsell Lodge staff can organise a visiting GP for you as well as allied health professionals and hairdressing.

There are numerous lifestyle and leisure programs and activities that are varied daily as well as social resources and facilities including an on site cafe and home service and maintenance personnel.

We even have a Chaplain who offers spiritual support and friendship.

Linsell Lodge offers a specialist Memory Support Unit for residents who live with dementia and impaired cognitive skills. The purpose designed and secure 30 room unit is located within the main Linsell complex.

 

Eligibility

People who have been formally assessed by an authorised ACAT (aged care assessment team) agency as being eligible for aged care support are eligible to access Salvation Army residential aged care, depending on availablity.

ACAT is a Commonwealth funded program which assists older people and their carers identify what kind of care will best meet their needs.
