Urban Justice Centre launch

THE URBAN JUSTICE CENTRE (UJC) provides legal service to those who live on the fringes of society. It is an innovative addition to the range of thoughtful and progressive programs of Project  614.  The UJC is located at 69 Bourke St where it complements the range of services operated by Project 614.    Importantly, its presence at 69 Bourke St means it is will be accessible to the support workers and clients of Project 614 providing client-centred case management where the legal service is one of a team of legal and non-legal service providers aiming to achieve a complete solution, not just to close the legal file.
The UJC will deal with issues such as Criminal Law,  Fine enforcement proceedings, Welfare (Centrelink) advocacy  and family violence (responding and/or obtaining personal protection orders).
