Skills 4 Life Specialist Youth Disability Service provides holistic day programs for young people with disabilities in the 17-30 age group. We specialise in small group day programs which are designed to provide enrichment and development for youth. These groups are facilitated by our experienced disability support team.
Participants will have access to the Sargents Challenge Centre which has been specifically designed for use by young people with a disability.
Sargents Challenge Centre
Sargents Challenge Centre is located in the Youthlink Centre in Blacktown. Equipped with a variety of outdoor obstacle courses, low ropes, high ropes, old mine challenge room, sensory and bush tucker gardens, indoor and outdoor group spaces, BBQ area and an accessible toilet, the Sargents Challenge Centre allows for a variety of team building challenge activities for participants of all ages and abilities.

Skills 4 Life After School Programs:
Skills 4 Life After School Programs are for young people aged 13-18 who have a disability. These programs have been designed to help young people with life skills and assist those who are preparing to complete school.
The program provides a safe, supervised environment for young people to benefit from learning new skills whilst enjoying some fun and relaxation after school. It's a great opportunity to make new friends as well!
Both our day and after school programs combine recreation, vocational and life skills to assist young people develop general life and social skills, encouraging an increase in their independence at home and within the community.
Vocational skills will help young people develop employment skills to ease them into managing the demands of a job and the workplace environment.

We offer school holiday programs for young people with a disabilty, aged 8 to 18. All of our programs are run in small groups allowing our staff to ensure that young people are well supervised, safe and actively participating in activities to ensure they are not experiencing isolation. Our small group programs also encourage the development of friendships which contribute significantly to their emotional and mental wellbeing.
Skills 4 Life school holiday programs focus on socialisation, community, fun and healthy lifestyle with a range of activities that include the Sargents Challenge Centre, outdoor recreation such as high and low ropes course, bushwalks, swimming, canoeing and other activities such as cooking, crafts and outings to help in the development of life skills.
