Recreation and Leisure Services assist young people to:

  • Improve physical and emotional abilities
  • Increase confidence and self-esteem
  • Establish community engagement
  • Build and strengthen friendships and interpersonal skills
  • Improve wellbeing
  • Encourage a sense of accomplishment and fulfilment
  • Develop healthy lifestyle habits

ASPIRE is a music and dance based program designed to engage, inspire, educate and empower young people. The Aspire leaders are fantastic at getting alongside young people, teaching them to groove, and bringing a positive and encouraging vibe to the centre.  It is a well-structured early intervention strategy incorporating the non-threatening and creative elements of music, dance and mentoring, and it aims to provide inspiration, support and avenues for all young people to reach their full-potential.
