The Red Shield Appeal Weekend is when thousands of volunteer participants spend a few hours collecting donations.

The 2017 Weekend is 27-28 May. Various collection points – from door knocking, shopping centres to sporting grounds – are also set up throughout the month of May.

How can I get involved?

There are many ways to get your family, school or workplace involved. The Red Shield Appeal Doorknock is one of the easiest ways to help Australians doing it tough. If you are unable to doorknock you can also host your own fundraiser at your school or workplace to help raise money for The Salvos.
