Without our amazing team of volunteers we could not make the impact we do.

It takes an army of volunteers to provide and enable practical care for Australians every year. Volunteers bring life to our values of integrity, compassion, respect, diversity and collaboration.

Volunteers assist right across the Salvos in Shepparton. The most common volunteering opportunities are:

  • Sorting donations, restocking our store and assisting with sales in our thrift shop in Mooroopna.
  • Assisting with the preparation, serving and cleaning up after our weekly community meal (on Wednesdays).
  • Assisting with distribution of financial and material aid assistance through our Community Welcome Space.
  • Keeping our facilities clean and ordered, to better welcome community members.
  • Various roles in our faith community/ worship services.

Alternatively, you may wish to volunteer at Salvos Stores in Shepparton.

We are an approved voluntary work organisation for those over 55 years looking to meet Services Australia (Centrelink) requirements.

As part of The Salvation Army's commitment to safeguarding children, young and vulnerable people, many roles require Victorian police checks and/or Victorian Working with Children Checks. We can assist you if you don't already have these.

If you're interested in volunteering with us, please fill in the form below, or drop in for a cuppa and we can talk through the possibilities.
