This week we will continue our series Soul Detox, exploring what it means to be changed from the inside out. Hopefully if you are part of a LifeGroup, you have or will be commencing this study in the coming weeks! Don't forget that if you are still interested in LifeGroups but have not yet found a group, you can get in touch with Annette Duncan. 

This Sunday at 9:30am and 11am Jonathan Browning will be our guest preacher - we are excited to hear Jonathan's message from week 3 of our Soul Detox Series titled 'Radioactive Relationships: Loving unhealthy people without getting sick'.

Red Shield Appeal
May is here, which means Red Shield Appeal month is too! At Parramatta Salvos, we are hoping to raise our goal of $50,000 this year. 

To get started, we encourage you to create a Digital Door Knock page and share it over social media. Make sure you join our Parramatta Zone team!

There are also static rosters out now in the church foyer, so please sign up to help collect at one of our many locations. 

A reminder that there will be no Sunday services on the Red Shield Appeal Weekend at Parramatta Salvos, freeing you up to collect at one of our many locations or do some door knocking!

Movie Night Fundraiser
Our Movie Night fundraiser for the Red Shield Appeal 2022 is THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!

Join us at 6:30pm (for a 7pm movie start). Entry is a $5 donation per person, and coffee, drinks, pizza and snacks will be available for purchase as well. 

To help us with catering, we ask that you pre-order your pizza here: https://parramattasalvos.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/1272950 Pizza will be large Costco slices. Extra will be available on the night, but it would be helpful to have an idea of how much pizza we need!

We are excited to share a night of fun, food and fellowship with you. Our movie night is a community event meaning that ALL are welcome to join us! 
 

Red Sunday
On Sunday June 5, we will celebrate Pentecost while also raising funds for the Red Shield Appeal with our RED SUNDAY. We invite you to come dressed in RED to our 9:30am or 11am services. 

We will also be holding a special RED bake sale. So if you would like to contribute a plate, please let Kylie know. All items will be for sale between our two services, with cash and eftpos available.

Daniel's Story
Last Friday at the Western Sydney Business Launch for the Red Shield Appeal, our friend Daniel shared his story of transformation to business people across Western Sydney. We are so proud of you, Daniel, and we thank God that you are part of our church community! 

Shop 5
We are excited to let you know that Shop 5 will be leased by The Salvation Army's Employment Plus. As one of Australia’s largest recruiters, E-Plus provide job seekers with specialised training, work experience and a range of support services, to help them find meaningful employment. As a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus is directed back into The Salvation Army’s social programs – providing relief to the homeless, victims of disaster and anyone who needs a helping hand.

We are excited to have another Salvo presence on site, along with the benefits that come with another shop being rented! 

80th Birthday
Happy Birthday to our friend Marie Corkett who celebrates her 80th birthday next Tuesday!

New Babies!
Congratulations to Denise Thomas with the safe arrival of her granddaughter
Arlia Rachelle. Everyone is doing well.

We also want to congratulate new Aunty Montana Sandercock-Brown, along with grandparents Sharon and Grant and mum Isabelle on the safe arrival of Matilda.
