Join us this Sunday as we unpack week 3 of our series The GOAT - The Greatest of All Time. We'll be taking a look at Jesus as the greatest servant this week.

Remember, the church is not a building or a place we go. We are the church - wherever we are, whatever we're doing. God can use each one of us to share the gospel message every day and to continue building his kingdom in our interactions with others - yep, even online!

Bless you each as you continue to love and serve,

Kylie & Sarah

State of the Territory Event
All Salvos are invited to join on Sunday 17 October 4-5pm AEDT for the State of the Territory update.

This event will provide a snapshot into how far TSA Nationally has come with the RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan) progress, local mission delivery and the Salvos Stores pilot project. There will also be an update on our financial stewardship and the impact COVID-19 has had on our movement.

Discussion Paper for Salvationists
This week our National Leaders have passed on discussion paper that has been compiled by the Moral and Social Issues Council (MASIC), 'A discussion paper for Salvationists: Vaccinations'.

The paper explores topics such as: Should vaccinations be mandatory? Is it ethical to refuse a vaccine? Who should have access to a vaccine and how can they be distributed fairly? And much more.

This paper also provides examples, reflections, and biblical perspectives to give you insight into what is a rapidly evolving topic and will help enable informed conversations about;
  • What is the purpose of a vaccine?
  • Individual rights vs collective rights
  • Mandatory vaccinations and informed consent
  • Equitable access to vaccines
  • Fast-tracking vaccine approval and risks
  • Vaccines derived from human biological material
Our hope is you find this paper a helpful guide in navigating these unfamiliar times and we would like to extend our thanks to MASIC for their investment in the creation of such a resource for our movement.

Ken Drysdale
We are very sad to share that Ken Drysdale passed away this week. After months of struggling with his health, Ken passed late on Wednesday evening. Please join us in praying for Ken's family, especially his fiancé, Diane Hardy, at this very difficult time.
Health Concerns
We ask that you keep Tjutju Mariati in your prayers this week as Tjutju faces some health issues. We pray for healing and safety for Tjutju this week.
Praying through our Corps Directory
Each week we pray for people with surnames beginning with 3 letters of the alphabet. This week we pray for surnames K-M and we invite you to be praying for these people in your quiet time this week.
