This Sunday we invite you to come a little early or stay a little later to use our special PHOTO BOOTH! 

Future Vision Consultation
An email was sent this week to our Parramatta Salvos community regarding our Future Vision Consultation. Please find and read the email for more information. You can make an appointment to have a coffee and conversation with our Officer Team next week on the 10th, 12th or 13th of May in the Board Room at Parramatta Salvos. We will be conducting these consultation sessions in small groups (6 people per group) to give everyone equal chance to voice their views. We want to encourage all people who are part of our Parramatta Salvos community to participate.

Youth Group 
Youth this Friday night is 'DIY Dinner & Dessert'. Youth begins at 7pm at 426 Church Street, Parramatta and costs $2 per person. 

From term 2, young people in year 6 are invited to attend Youth Group at Parramatta Salvos, along with all our high-school aged students! For more information about Youth, please contact Jayne Combremont.

Ladies Fellowship
Each week Ladies Fellowship meets at Parramatta Salvos. This group provides a place for women to gather together, build friendships, give support and care, encourage learning and share the love of Christ with each other. 10am-12pm Wednesdays on Level 1 at Parramatta Salvos. 

This Wednesday May 12, we will be joined by Major Ann Lingard who will be sharing on the theme, "Through the Looking Glass". 

Flourish - Women's Event
We invite women of all ages to save the date for our first 'FLOURISH' women's gathering. This event will take place on the evening of Saturday 5 June at 6pm. We will be sharing dinner and dessert for $10 at 426 Church Street, Parramatta. 

Movie Night
Our movie night is coming up on Saturday 15 May! We invite everyone to join us for a night of fun and fundraising for The Red Shield Appeal. Coffee, soft drink, pizza and snacks will be available for purchase on the night. Make sure you bring a picnic blanket or camping chair to sit on!

New Kids Group!
Our new kids percussion group called 'Pulse' started last Sunday! We had a great time playing together and are excited about learning more together.  This group is open to all children - all genders, all ages and all skill levels. The group runs from 10:45am-11:30am on Sundays (following the 9:30am service).

Timbrels
Timbrels will resume for Term 2 this Friday night at 426 Church Street, Parramatta. Our new rehearsal times will be as follows: 

• First Friday of each month at 6:30pm (before youth group) 
• Third Sunday of each month 11:00am - 12:00pm (after the 9:30am meeting)

Red Shield Appeal
Last weekend we officially launched the Red Shield Appeal at Parramatta Salvos! We really need your help this year as we bring 'hope where it's needed most'. Please sign up to one of our static collection spots or volunteer to door knock. We are also asking everyone to create a Digital Door Knock page and raise funds and awareness online. COVID-19
Please pray for the current situation in NSW. Pray that the current restrictions will decrease community transmission and keep case numbers low. 

We ask that you pray for the people of India as they fight their latest wave of COVID-19. 

The Australia Territory has made a commitment to offer up to $100,000 AUD to support the work being done in our Salvation Army hospitals across India by paying for medical supplies – this could be for PPE, oxygen, or whatever is needed to keep our hospitals operational. Beyond this, our goal is to raise an additional $150,000 AUD to be able to contribute a total of $250,000 AUD in funds, for this incredibly important appeal.

The Salvation Army Australia is asking people to consider making an additional Self Denial Gift in support of our hospitals as they continue to minister in extremely difficult circumstances
