NSW home energy appliance program
The Home Energy Action Appliance Program (HEA) is run by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage to help you improve your energy efficiency by reducing the cost of efficient appliances.
If you have received help through the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) and live in NSW, you will be able to replace your old fridge or television with more a more energy efficient one, helping you reduce the cost of your electricity bill.
Your NILS case worker can explain the details to you when talking to you about your loan.
By taking part in this program, you could:
- Replace your old fridge and possibly save between $80 and $200 on your annual electricity bill
- Replace your old plasma or CRT TV with an LCD TV and possibly save between $50 and $150 on your annual electricity bill
Am I eligible?
You need to:
- Be a resident of NSW
- Have your NILS loan approved
- Not have accessed the HEA subsidy for the same item previously
