Westcare provides a continuum of specialised prevention, early intervention, secondary and tertiary services through out of home care, support and outreach case management services for children and young people who are clients of Protective Services in the Northern & Western Regions of Melbourne. (As defined by the Department of Human Services.) The Commonwealth Government also funds a Transitional Housing and Support Service (TSAY) for young people up to 25 years. The Department of Human Services is the major source of referral to our child and adolescent services with the expectation in most programs that only DHS Protective Services referrals will be accepted. Westcare currently provides services across all municipalities in the western part of the North Western Region of Melbourne (DHS).
