Why fundraise?

Giving is a feel-good thing.  By fundraising for us you can spread that feeling around. You can help us, help the 1 million people who come to The Salvation Army for assistance every year.

Even if you're not able to donate money, there are a number of ways you can help us raise the funds we need to deliver our programs. The best part is, you can use your imagination and choose how you would like to contribute.

Fundraising Ideas

Organise your own fundraising event

At school you can hold an event such as a Salvos' School Red Day, a sausage sizzle, a school concert, a cake stall, or anything else you can think of.  Feel free to invite a representative from The Salvation Army to come and speak at your school to promote the event.

Create your own fundraising event online with your own fundraising page.

Give a few hours, help a million people

Our Red Shield Appeal is held every year during the month of May. Students can participate in a number of different ways.

  • Doorknock your local area - Staff and students, inconjunction with the local Salvation Army representative, can doorknock areas around your school.
  • Static Collections - Students can collect donations at officially approved shopping centres, Bunnings stores or other appropriate venues, or, organise a fundraising event.

Download our posters to advertise your fundraising event. You can hold a general fundraiser, or, raise awareness for a specific cause. Use our posters as your inspiration!
