Home auctioned off for Charity
A Perth woman's dying wish has helped out a number of West Australian charities, after her Kensington home came under the real estate hammer last week.
Marion Baker lost her battle to cancer earlier this year, despite dedicating her own life to helping those in need.
Ms Baker had bequethed her home evenly to seven WA charities including Cat Haven, the RSPCA, the Shenton Park Dogs Refuge, the Association for the Blind/Guide Dogs WA, the Swan Animal Haven, the Young Women's Christian Association and the Salvation Army.
The Kensington property that Ms Baker called home for several decades sold for $1.065 million dollars.
The home sold for $1.065 million at an auction today.
The Salvation Army will be investing the money in community programs.
