Community Services and Emergency Relief

At The Salvation Army Ringwood we endeavour to be there for our community by building support networks and services. Wherever there is hardship or injustice we will live, love, and fight, alongside others to transform Australia one life at a time with the love of Jesus.

"I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in ..." Matthew 25:35

Byways Lunch

A two course meal lovingly prepared by dedicated volunteers is served to 80-100 guests each week. Anyone is welcome, particularly those who cannot afford good food, or who are lonely and would like some company. A gold coin donation to enter any time after 11:00am for a morning tea of coffee, tea, fruit cordial, scones and biscuits. We also have live music, and a chance to celebrate birthdays and other significant life events - building a sense of community among those who attend. From 11am 1st & 3rd Wednesday
Friends enjoy company

Devotional Service

Following a nourishing two-course meal, all are invited to an open and quite voluntary 25-minute devotional service commencing at 1:00pm in the adjoining church. This service is led by guests from The Salvation Army Ringwood and wider Melbourne Christian communities. The chapel service provides an opportunity for you to reflect on your relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, and how that relationship might grow.
