Byways Community Lunch
1st and 3rd Wednesday of Month 1:00PM
Byways is a community lunch run by The Salvation Army Ringwood 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. A two course meal is lovingly prepared by a dedicated tem of volunteers and served to between 80 and 100 guests each week. Anyone is welcome - particularly those who cannot afford good food, or who are lonely and would like some company.
It's a gold coin donation to enter any time after 11:00am for a morning tea of coffee, tea, fruit cordial, scones and biscuits. We also have live music, and a chance to celebrate birthdays and other significant life events - building a sense of community among those who attend.
Following a nourishing two-course meal, all are invited to an open and quite voluntary 25-minute devotional service commencing at 1:00pm in the adjoining church. This service is led by guests from The Salvation Army Ringwood and wider Melbourne Christian communities. The chapel service provides an opportunity for you to reflect on your relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, and how that relationship might grow.
